Cameron Simone Roberts
Cameron Simone Roberts is originally from Atlanta, GA. She attended Greater Atlanta Christian School (GACS) and went on to graduate from Pope High School in East Cobb, GA with honors. She is the youngest of 7 siblings. Cameron competed in competition cheerleading, track, and orchestra. She also served as Cheer Captain her senior year of high school. Cameron began playing the violin in 6th grade and continues to play to this day, although now she prefers the electric violin, over her original acoustic instrument.
After high school, Cameron was accepted into the University of Georgia. She’s an avid Bulldawg fan! She also is a UGA- Zeta Tau Alpha, and during her time at UGA served as Ritual Chair for ZTA, as well as, Pi Kappa Phi – sister.
Cameron graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs with a minor in National Security, which she graduated her junior year of college with. She completed her 4th/senior year of undergrad with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish while residing in Barcelona, Spain, and attending La Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo.
Subsequently, she attended law school at Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. She was elected President of AWLS (Women’s Lawyer Association) at Mercer Law. Her 1st year of law school, she founded the law school division for the GA Legal Food Frenzy under Attorney General Sam Olens, and went on to represent Mercer Law in a win against all the law schools in Georgia several times after. She has served as a Regional Chair for the GA LFF since 2011. During this time she also served as a board member for the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, and served as a translator at the Athens-Clarke County Food Bank. This initiative led her to receive the law student of the year award from the Georgia Assoc. of Women Lawyers, where she currently serves as Chapter President.
During law school, Cameron became certified to personal train, as well as, certified to teach cycling and kickboxing. She taught at gyms all over GA and continues to substitute teach still today. Passion in wellness.
After law school, Cameron worked as Staff Attorney for the Honorable George Nunn, Chief Superior Court Judge in Houston County, GA, where she went on to serve as Assistant District Attorney. Cameron also served as Assistant District Attorney for the Tifton Judicial Circuit, which covers numerous counties in South Georgia, and where her trial practice truly began.
After the DA’s office, Cameron was offered a job in private practice at Wilmot&Powell, where she served as the Assistant City Attorney for Tifton, as well as, began practicing personal injury, family law, probate, criminal defense, and more.
After W&P, Cameron started her own law firm, Cameron Roberts Law, and was offered a job as “Of Counsel” to Hudson Injury Firm, formally known as Hudson King Injury Firm. This is where Cameron began becoming active in GTLA and starting to spend more time in the ATL area again.
Cameron currently serves as the President of the Tifton Bar Association, as well as, the Tifton Chapter President of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL). Cameronalso serves as the Chairman for the GA YLD (Young Lawyers Division) Wellness Committee.
In October 2021- Cameron was appointed as a Magistrate Judge in Tift County, GA, and remains active in said position, today.
Cameron is an active member of GTLA (Georgia Trial Lawyer Association) and was elected to GTLA LEAD (2021-2022 year), where she received the award for “Biggest Personality”.
After practicing around the state, Cameron was ready to return to her hometown of Atlanta, GA, where her family currently resides and where she began practicing with Pendergrass Law Firm. Phil Pendergrass and Cameron are friends from law school. Cameron currently resides in Sandy Springs, GA. She enjoys running, mountain biking, playing the violin, kayaking, fishing, scalloping, flying/working on a pilot’s license, and of course… supporting the Dawgs!
